Impact & Responsibility

In a world where resource constraints are increasing, society is becoming more fragmented, and leaders must make complex decisions that engage all their stakeholders, responsibility has become an increasingly strategic issue for executive leadership. They must envision new forms of value creation and adopt frugal business models that embrace a broader view of their ecosystem, while rethinking how to engage and develop their human capital.

How we support
our clients

We work alongside executive leadership teams and their organizations in four strategic battles:

  • Plural value creation: co-constructing the company’s purpose, defining a strategic plan that integrates responsibility, opening governance to stakeholders, and designing the framework for managing overall performance;
  • Circularity: developing product circularity, scaling up recycling, and financing and insuring second-life products;
  • Human capital: defining the human capital development strategy, rethinking the work organization model, creating training programs for sustainability, preserving jobs, and revitalizing industrial activity;
  • The formation and implementation of transition coalitions: promoting raw material traceability, developing industry sectors (e.g., agriculture), preserving industrial assets in France, and driving ecological planning for local regions.

Our ambition is to help our clients pivot their businesses toward a more responsible model, through an approach that is:

  • Systemic – taking into account all of the company’s resources;
  • Unique – leveraging the specificity of the company’s model to sustain and enhance its differentiation;
  • Pragmatic – building a roadmap adapted to the organization’s maturity level, strategic assets, and ambition.

We combine our expertise in strategy and transformation consulting with the capabilities of our dedicated teams — on the one hand, structuring responsibility dynamics through purpose, strategy, and governance; and on the other, engaging executive leaders and employees in the social and environmental transition.

Our ambition is to help our clients pivot their business toward a more responsible model, through a systemic, distinctive, and pragmatic approach.

Our
capabilities

Adopt a transformative Purpose
or obtain Société à Mission status

By adopting a purpose or a mission, a company chooses to affirm the role it wishes to play with its stakeholders, equipping itself with a distinctive compass that guides its transformation and decision-making.

With the experience of supporting more than 40 companies on this topic, involvement in the work leading up to the PACTE Law (2019), and co-founding the Community of Mission-Driven Companies, our approach is based on four guiding principles:

  • An introspective reflection to anchor the company in its unique characteristics, and a forward-looking vision to project it into its role in the world of tomorrow
  • An iterative co-construction process, engaging employees and governance bodies
  • An openness to external stakeholders to enrich the process
  • An operational translation of the commitments set by the purpose or mission, and their alignment with the strategy and CSR approach

Unite around a distinctive and robust
CSR strategy

Equipping your business with a CSR strategy has now become essential. Beyond meeting regulatory requirements, it provides meaning by choosing distinctive priorities that are connected to business challenges.

The starting point of our support in this area is a double materiality assessment — a powerful tool to clarify, prioritize, and focus on what truly matters, without overlooking what is necessary.

We also ensure that developing a CSR strategy is a co-construction process that engages employees and the broader ecosystem — an essential lever for successful operational deployment.

Enrich governance by establishing
a stakeholder or mission committee

Companies are increasingly aware that the challenges they face are interconnected with those of their ecosystem. Engaging with stakeholders is key to enriching decision-making — but having the right forum to do so is essential!

As long-standing experts in stakeholder dialogue, we have, since the PACTE Law, developed in-depth expertise in setting up a Mission Committee (or Stakeholder Committee), understanding its operating dynamics, and ensuring its alignment with other governance bodies. We also draw on our own experience as members of Mission or Stakeholder Committees to refine our support in defining the framework, establishing, launching, and facilitating these committees

Circular
Economy

A true revolution in business models and production methods, the circular economy — which decouples economic growth from the use of natural resources — opens up new pathways to building the future. It is built on seven pillars: sustainable sourcing, eco-design, industrial and territorial ecology, the functional economy, responsible consumption, extending product lifespan, and waste prevention and recycling.

To fully unlock its potential, it is not just a matter of complying with climate objectives, but of embracing this new growth paradigm to create value on every front: economic, social, and environmental.

Our approach is systemic, drawing on specific and targeted expertise essential to successfully driving the transformations brought about by the circular economy, addressing on-the-ground technical complexity, and fostering constructive dialogue among multiple stakeholders. Depending on the desired level of maturity and commitment, we work alongside our clients in different ways — from raising awareness to supporting experimentation with new activities.

We lead three major types of transformation:

  • Strategic transformation: vision, modeling the economic and environmental impacts of activities, aligning multiple stakeholders within value chains, alliance strategies, opportunity studies, creation of circular offerings and business models, anticipation and assessment of regulatory impacts;
  • Cultural transformation: raising awareness among leadership teams, governance, organizational structure, and fostering cooperation;
  • Transformation in and toward responsibility: supporting the transformation of the operating model, reducing environmental impact, CSR charters, sustainable performance indicators, and measuring contributions to the preservation of the commons.
