ABOUT ETIENNE
Étienne has always enjoyed taking things apart to understand how they work, and fixing them to make them better. Trained as an engineer, he initially applied his skills to mechanical and computer systems. But it was upon discovering the inner workings of organizations that he found his true playground: the enterprise as a system—infinitely more complex… and often inefficient and a source of suffering.
He quickly realized that an organization cannot be “programmed” like a computer: org charts and process flows alone are not enough. This led him to a core belief: an organization can only function sustainably if it is truly owned by the people who bring it to life.
From this, he developed a pragmatic and systemic approach—linking design to implementation, bridging structural levers with human dynamics, and tailoring each recommendation to the strategic, cultural, and human context of his clients.
Today, Étienne leads Kéa’s organizational design expertise. He supports clients in defining organizational principles, simplifying and streamlining ways of working, and building organizations that serve strategy. His ambition is simple: to make these “organizational machines” both more efficient and more peaceful.
“Transforming an organization means embracing its complexity to spark the right momentum in the right place, then making its purpose and principles so clear that everyone can take ownership of them. That is the key to lasting performance and serenity.”
