ABOUT PHILIPPE

Philippe brings a rare dual expertise in economics and data, which he leverages to help business leaders make informed strategic decisions. Convinced that data, when properly harnessed, can profoundly and sustainably transform economic models, he combines analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and technological innovation in every project he leads.

Philippe intervenes wherever data intelligence becomes a differentiating lever, enabling robust decision-making in support of sustainable growth.

He is a key member of the AI, Data, Digital & Technologies practice, where his expertise in data science, Artificial Intelligence, and quantitative economic models plays a central role.

He supports client executive committees in their transformations through data-driven strategies or AI adoption, particularly in industries undergoing major shifts (energy, sports, healthcare, media, finance…). His work emphasizes valuation, optimization, regulation, and long-term value creation.

A PhD in industrial economics, graduate of École Polytechnique and ENSAE, Philippe has had a distinguished academic career, notably as Director of the Industrial Economics Laboratory at CREST and Visiting Scholar at the University of Chicago.

After 20 years devoted to research, he has spent the past 15+ years in economic consulting at the crossroads of regulation, applied econometrics, and data strategy. He founded Veltys, a firm specialized in data intelligence and AI, in 2013. Philippe maintains strong ties with the academic world: he continues to co-author papers published in scientific journals and teaches at École Polytechnique in Paris.

Philippe also serves on the boards of several innovative companies and operates in complex international environments, leading projects with strong economic and technological dimensions. He has contributed to the creation of innovative platforms for leading industrial players with whom he has set up joint ventures. He is also recognized for his work with major sports organizations, particularly in the commercialization of media rights, where he combines strategic analysis, economic valuation, and deep market insight.

“Data and AI — both predictive and generative — have become central to the design and execution of corporate strategies. With Kéa Group, we bring together all the expertise needed to support our clients and rise to these tremendous challenges.”
